EVE REPORTEDLY DROPPED FROM GEFFEN RECORDS, "FETISH" CLOTHING SHUT DOWN
The First Lady of Ruff Ryders Eve has reportedly been dropped from her recording contract with Geffen Records and has shut down the operations behind her Fetish clothing line.
While details are still sketchy, she reportedly no longer has business ties to Geffen.
There are reports that Eve has completely lost her...clothing line, Fetish, and she has been dropped from her label. The label news comes at a good time for Eve, being that the new Ruff Ryders video dropped last week and the anticipated success of their collective album looks to be in the future for the Pit Bull in a skirt. (Bossip)
The rapper previously tried re-launching the company multiple times.
Eve has just shut down her clothing line, again. This time, Eve said it's for good. A couple of years back, Eve put the line on hiatus when she had conflicts with the apparel licensee Inovo Group. Not long after, she partnered with another manufacturer and distributor based in New York, Signature Apparel, and both parties relaunched Fetish last year with a more upscale collection. (SoJones)

Long Awaited Album Drops

(Ra Records / Tuscan Villa / SMC Recordings)
September 24, 2009 (New York, NY) –After months, if not years of Internet speculation and rumor, the man many call The God MC’s management and label officially confirm that Rakim Allah will release his long awaited new album The Seventh Seal on November 17, 2009. Guest artists include Busta Rhymes, Jadakiss, Maino, Tracey Horton, IQ, Styles P, and others, including Destiny Griffin, Rakim’s own daughter. The artist’s Ra Records shares the imprint in a joint venture with Tuscan Villa and SMC Recordings and is distributed through Fontana/Universal Music Group.
Since its release, the album’s lead single “Holy Are You” has won praise from critics and fans alike. USA Today states, “The God MC previews his long-awaited The Seventh Seal with a lyrically adept reminder of how he earned the name,” with Billboard proclaiming “Rakim is in top form, richly merging self-mythologizing reflections on his legacy with religious imagery.”
His first full album of new material in almost a decade, The Seventh Seal is Rakim’s contemporary observation of the Hip-Hop culture he helped define. While staying loyal to his New York roots, Rakim has created a body of work that encompasses the very best of regional, underground and mainstream styles that are reformed and delivered through his intricate lyricism and the seemingly effortless flow for which he is revered. He has enlisted a slew of production talent including Needlz, Nottz, Jake One, Nick Wiz, Ty Fiffe and more on the album’s well-rounded tracks.
The artist states, “The Seventh Seal is my own revelation…my way of taking the best of what Hip-Hop has to offer, what we as a culture and a community have to offer, putting my stamp on it and leading us forward while constantly respecting what we’ve already accomplished. When you’ve been blessed with a career like mine, you develop a deep relationship with the music, and that love is recognized by the true heads that share it with you. You’ll see us keep building as we break through each Seal…showing the best of what I can do in many forms, bringing the energy and having fun, but first I’m laying that foundation and give my longtime fans the conscious fire they expect.”

According to WhoooHa.com, the legendary producer has teamed up with a collabo version of HP's laptop, the HP Envy. As you can see from the photos, it features the recognizable "Beats" logo as well.
The company calls the collabo the "Mac killer," and will not only boast a sleek design, but also feature cutting edge sound. HP says the laptop will feature a "cutting-edge" sound system, named "Beats Audio," designed by Dr. Dre's sound engineers, who help develop Dre's tracks and design the Beats by Dre headphone line.
HP says: "[Dre has] ... a unique, high-performance audio software solution. Available exclusively on the HP Envy, Beats Audio offers users playing music or audio through headphones or external speakers the optimal sound experience -- the way the artist intended it."
Further details about the laptop and software were not revealed, but it's expected to hit sores on October 18th, and will retail for $1,699.
There's rumors the purchase also includes a pair of Beats by Dre headphones, but this was not confirmed at press time.

Cleveland Cavaliers' Delonte West Arrested On Weapons Charges In Maryland
Cleveland Cavaliers guard, Delonte West, was arrested on Thursday (September 17) in Maryland, after police found two loaded handguns following a traffic stop.
According to the Associated Press, the 26-year-old NBA player was pulled over for speeding on motorcycle after cutting off an officer in Upper Marlboro at around 10 p.m.
When he was stopped, police found a handgun in his pocket, one in his pant leg, and a shotgun in a guitar case strapped to his back.
Prince George's County police Sgt. Michelle Reedy
told the AP that West "was very cooperative, there were no issues" during the incident.
West was charged with speeding and weapons counts. He was released on his own recognizance early Friday (September 18).
His team, the Cavaliers, are said to be monitoring the situation.
"We have been in communication with Delonte and his family," general manager, Danny Ferry, said in a statement. "We are gathering more information and will not have further comment until the appropriate time."
Online court records did not list an attorney for West.
