Judge Rules Max-B No Longer Under Contract To Jim Jones. Rapper's Debut Album 'Vigilante Season' About To Drop
That wave Max-B has been riding just
turned into a tsunami.
The
incarcerated rapper received some much needed good news on Wednesday
(May 26) as a judge ruled Jim Jones
no longer has control of his publishing or recording rights.
XXL is reporting that the judge
ruled Max has completed obligations under both his 2005 recording
contract and 2007 publishing deals. Max was once a part of Jones' Byrd Gang before the two had a falling
out.
Now Max can finally release his debut album 'Vigilante Season'.
Amalgam Digital will be putting
the album out on it's indie label although the release date has not been
set.
Max also got good news recently regarding his prison sentence for his
role in a 2005 robbery that left one man dead. He was granted an appeal
in the case and is waiting a trial date.

Good Time Goes Wrong In Queens As Gunfire Erupts At School Reunion Party Leaving 5 People Injured And 1 Dead
Crime scene officers document the scene of a homicide where six
people were shot, one DOA at house party in Queens.
Video Inside
NyDailyNews.com:
A Queens junior high school reunion erupted in a bloodbath Sunday -
leaving one man dead - after an invitation went viral online and drew
hundreds of unexpected revelers.
Five others were shot, one critically, said police, who made no
immediate arrests.
Partygoers overwhelmed the reunion barbecue outside a private home on
145th Drive in Springfield Gardens, creating an impromptu block party
late Saturday night. A group of men on motorcycles argued with another
group of partygoers before gunfire erupted a little after 2 a.m.
yesterday, witnesses said.
"We're looking for one shooter," a police source said. "Apparently he
just opened fire into the crowd."
Detectives last night released a sketch of the suspected gunman, who a
police source said was likely a party crasher who had a prior beef with
someone at the party. The gunman used a .40-caliber gun.
Dane Freeman, 20, of Queens, died on the sidewalk from a single gunshot
wound to the head, police said.
"He was very respectful," said his sister, Latoya Freeman, 26. "He grew
up in the church and our family was very close."
Kendall Cheek, 22, of Elmont, L.I., a student at Nassau Community
College, was shot in the shoulder and grazed in the face, relatives
said.
"Kendall was standing next to the guy who got shot in the head and
saw it happen," said Cheek's sister, Kelly Cheek, 24. "There was
an angel there for my sister, who gave her a second chance."
Dominyck Jackson, 25, of Bushwick, Brooklyn, was shot in the leg. "It
just came out of nowhere," he said, leaving the 105th Precinct on
crutches yesterday after being released from Manhasset's North Shore
University Hospital and interviewed by cops. "Me and my friend tried
to run but I didn't get far."
Jackson said he wasn't involved in any argument at the party, and didn't
see who shot him.
Three victims, all believed to be from the neighborhood, were taken to
Jamaica Hospital.
A 23-year-old man who was shot in the chest, identified by a police
source as Felix Geemps, was placed in a medically induced coma. He was
reported in critical condition. A 21-year-old man shot in the leg was
identified as Daniel Smith. Danielle Hill, 21, who was shot in both
hands, was treated and released.
The party was thrown by three sisters in their 20s who live at the 145th
Drive home with their father, a source said.
The girls' father told the Daily News he was out of the house during the
party.
The party is an annual event, but the hosts were unprepared for the
massive turnout of about 300 people after word spread on Twitter and
other social networking sites, neighbors said.
A 24-year-old partygoer, who declined to give her name, said the block
filled with flashy cars and motorcycles.
"It was basically, 'I got more money than you; I sell more drugs than
you,'" the woman said. "I guess they were trying to impress the ladies,
show off. One group started revving their motorcycles, then the shots
went off."
"It's crazy," she added. "It went from laughing, eating and
having a good time to this."
Police are asking for helping identifying a man wanted for questioning
in connection with the shooting over the weekend.
The suspect, as seen in this police sketch, is described as a black
male, 20-25 years of age, approximately 5'8'' tall, wearing a black
hooded sweatshirt and dark pants. Police Sketch + Video From NbcNewYork.com

Damn B.I.G would have Been 38
Videos After The Jump
"It was all a dream, I used to read
Word Up magazine. Salt-N-Peppa and Heavy D up in the limousine. Hanging
pictures on my wall, every Saturday Rap Attack Mr Magic Marley Marl" --
Notorious B.I.G.
Great artists are God's gift to the world in my opinion.
On March 9, 1997 we lost one of those gifts. But not before he left us
with two classic albums filled with lyrics only a genius could write.
'Ready To Die' and 'Life After Death' are in
the homes and whips of every fan of hip hop, new school or old around
the world.
Christopher Wallace, better known to many as Notorious B.I.G.
would have been 38 years old today. Every rapper is a little bit better
having heard him spit.
One if the greatest things about Biggie was his universal flow. He may
have been from from the East Coast, but everybody has a favorite
Biggie joint no matter where you live.
So today, tip your hat, raise your glass or smoke one and wish The
Black Frank White, Happy Birthday.

DAMN: Violence Erupts At Gucci Mane Video Shoot. Two Men Taken To The Hospital
More Pics + Video After The Jump...
HipHopEnquirer
Reports:
Our own HHE’s Dennis Byron was on the set at the yesterday’s tapping of
Gucci Mane’s “Anti Social” video when two male individuals where
apparently assaulted by several others who coincidently were in the
immediate vicinity of the shoot. Warning: Images below are very
graphic.
A short time after 8:00pm while I was conducting an interview with R
& B singer Mila who is also featured on the “Anti Social” single, I
heard a thumping sound and when I turned around I saw these two males
sprawled out on the street. One of the men involved appeared to be
unconscious as his body was motionless. The other male appeared to be
incoherent when he was being questioned by passerby.
It was later discovered that these two individuals were allegedly
witnessed breaking into vehicles. Fortunately no one from Gucci Mane’s
camp was involved thus the video shoot continued without any other
interruptions.
